When I first saw the photograph that she had taken [of me], I was struck by the composition which I thought was exquisite, and it reminded me somewhat of the 19th century portraits, where the subject is sitting at a table to one side and up in a corner is a painting of the subjects life. Maybe a farm or a library, but what the subject does for a living. And I think this portrait, all of the portraits actually, gives the same sort of sense, they tell a story.
